I am 35 year old woman and I still have spots. Help!
This usually happens in women after the age of 25. This form of acne is quite common in the 30-40 age group and the reasons for why it occurs are still not fully understood.
But there is hope! Studies have shown that a treatment regime with Roaccutane is able to clear this type of acne in less than a year with a recurrence rate of 10-20%. So the chances of achieving a pimple ( spot)-free face are still realistic.
Ask your consultant dermatologist for more advice! But I am sure it is a step in the correct direction.

Never knew about Roaccutane until I visited your site. Will definitely bring this up with my GP and get referred to a dermatalogist. Nice information; KEEP IT UP!

Hey Donna- make sure you check out the side-effects like dry lips and nausea before going full on with the treatment though! I’m sure your dermatologist will take care of things!

Hi, I am 34 and have been on roaccutane for 2 months but have just been pulled off due to a reactive rash! (apart from the rash it was working REALLY well) I’ve been reading this FAB website and i wondered whether the vilantae drug that keeps being mentioned would be worth a try for me? thank you very much.

It certainly is Lisa, make sure that you consult your dermatologist first though, to make sure you won’t be reactive to that either!
Asanka.
